Why we love the Jack the Ripper Museum
"Let’s face it, the 1800s was a terrible time to be a woman. This is a story that is filled with gore but what really fascinated me was the lives and struggles of the victims of these terrible crimes. This was a story that I thought I knew well but I came away with a whole new perspective and a good idea of who I think might have been Jack the Ripper. Will you?"

Spill the beans, I want to know more!
Jack the Ripper is one of the most infamous names in British history and yet his true identity remains unknown. His awful crimes have horrified, puzzled and inspired many to write books, create films and theorise about what really happened back in 1888. The Jack the Ripper Museum tells the whole story as we currently know it from the heart of Whitechapel, and explores not only the man behind the crimes but the lives of the victims. With newspaper clippings, police reports and even a daily tour (leaving at 3pm from the museum). This is the place to learn everything there is to know about the man they called ‘The Ripper’.
