Why we love SEA LIFE Blackpool

"Nature spotting for most of us includes getting bitten by a mosquito on holiday and feeding the pigeons in the park. This is why going to places such as SEA LIFE Blackpool is so wonderful. Not only do you get to encounter creatures that you would likely never see in the wild, but you learn so much about our beautiful natural world. This is not to be missed."

Kaz, Master Handshaker - Keetoo Crew ✌️

Spill the beans, I want to know more!

If you don’t fancy wildlife spotting from the beaches of Blackpool (bit nippy!) but still want to explore life under water, then SEA LIFE Blackpool is the perfect day out for you.

Meet Phoenix the giant green sea turtle and get up close and personal with a Black Tip Reef Shark, smile at a stingray or bare those teeth at a Piranha (if you dare). You can even learn about all sorts of critters and creepy crawlies from poison dart frogs to cockroaches in the new Rainforest walkthrough and get up close and personal with a Giant African Land Snail at the ‘Rangers Table’.

There’s so much to see and learn about our natural world and SEA LIFE Blackpool will show you the fascinating lives of creatures from all four corners of the globe.

How do I get there?

SEA LIFE Blackpool, Promenade, Blackpool, FY1 5AA

Leaving the M55 follow the brown tourist signs to the main town car park.

SEA LIFE Blackpool is located on the Promenade so the closest car park is Central car park.

Unfortunately, there is no onsite parking due to the location of the centre. The street at the rear of the centre (Bonny Street) can, however, be used as parking for blue badge holders, and there are 2 council operated car parks located less than 100m away from the main entrance. Both car parks have street lamp lighting in the car park areas as well as on the adjacent streets. The streets surrounding the centre are all fairly even, with tactile paving at drop curbs along the promenade with colours to highlight the dropped area as well. The pavement on approach to the main entrance is on a very slight incline and a coloured paved area indicates the entrance section to the centre. There is a loading area outside the main entrance for coaches or taxis however there isn’t a dropped curb. The nearest dropped curb is roughly 20m from the centre.

The nearest train station is Blackpool North Station.
Turn right outside the North train station to the Promenade and then left to SEA LIFE.

Blackpool North located on Talbot Road, approximately 0.8 miles away. It is about a 15-minute walk from the station along the Promenade.
